Resolve Completes the Set with NT Ombudsman

Resolve has completed its set of Ombudsmen Offices with the Ombudsman for the Northern Territory (Ombudsman NT) signing Resolve to develop their new Case Management System. This latest deal marks a significant milestone for the Australian software development company, having now secured all seven State and Territory Ombudsmen, as well as the Commonwealth Ombudsman. Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT) today released a new version of Notes Migrator for SharePoint, its solution for migrating Lotus Notes, Lotus QuickPlace/Quickr and Domino.Doc applications to SharePoint and SharePoint Online. The latest version streamlines the process of migrating to SharePoint 2010 and Microsoft Office 365, while providing high data fidelity and requiring fewer development resources.

Furniture giant Steinhoff Asia Pacific is replacing Lotus Notes with 1050 seats of Microsoft's Business Online Productivity Suite which it will access as a cloud service via Telstra's T-Suite starting in May.

Why the IBM Linux desktop will fail

If one was to believe IBM, the days of the Microsoft desktop are numbered, soon to be cut short by a combination of Canonical's Ubuntu Linux, IBM's Lotus range of office applications and a virtual desktop from Virtual Bridges. The trouble is IBM's solution is nothing new and addresses none of the issues associated with moving away from Microsoft.
